SCENES TO AVOID NIGHTMARES

2011

The space is invaded by paper vines that create a dreamlike environment, accompanied by projections, big scale furniture and hundred meters of  paper cuts. It has been presented in both Bogota and San Jose de Costa Rica where the project took new dimensions which were always hatched in its new  environment. Each installation becomes a door accessing a dream, experience or nightmare.

At the same time, there is a series of portable scenes fashioned using a traditional paper hand- cut technique. In these scenes, irrational episodes are suggested and selected through the research of symbolic and archetypal images found in classic, medieval and renaissance mythology.
